  • Benjamin Perrin

    Professor

    Ben Perrin researches and teaches in the areas of criminal law and international law. He joined UBC in 2007 after serving as a law clerk at the Supreme Court of Canada and advising judges at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and Special Court for Sierra Leone. Ben was lead criminal justice advisor and in-house legal counsel to the Prime Minister of Canada.

  • Aleksandar Petrovic

    Research Grants Writer

    Dr. Aleksandar Petrovic is the Research Grants and Award Writer with the Allard School of Law. He leads development and delivery of strategic research support for faculty under the general direction of the Associate Dean Research, and provides strategic feedback and nomination support for research awards and prizes.

  • Ngai Pindell

    Dean and Professor

    Dean Pindell received his A.B. (Economics) in 1993 from Duke University and his J.D. in 1996 from Harvard Law School. Following graduation, he practiced community development law in Baltimore, MD, followed by a fellowship and visiting assistant professorship at the University of Baltimore School of Law Community Development Clinic. He joined the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in 2000 as an Assistant Professor and earned promotion to Professor in 2008.

  • Pitman Potter

    Professor (Emeritus)
    Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada; Member, Order of Canada

    Pitman Potter retired from UBC in 2020.  Prior to his retirement, Potter served in various roles at Allard Hall, including as Director of Chinese Legal Studies, Director of Asian Legal Studies, Director of the Graduate Program, and Associate Dean. Potter also served as Director of UBC’s Institute of Asian Research during 1999-2008, where he held the HSBC Chair in Asian Research (1999- 2016).

  • Lisa Ramasami

    Legal Assistant

    Lisa is a dedicated Legal Assistant at the Indigenous Community Legal Clinic. Her journey in the legal profession started in Toronto, where she completed her Paralegal Diploma at Humber College, subsequently becoming a licensed Paralegal with the Law Society of Ontario. Since then, she has grown and contributed her skills to the in-house legal teams of companies in the Cybersecurity and Wood Products industry, focusing on corporate governance and commercial contracts, and in law firms such as Torys LLP and Chatarpaul & Associates.

  • Melissa Reichwage

    Communications Manager, Canada Climate Law Initiative

    Melissa is a communications generalist who works for the future she wants to see. Prior to joining the Canada Climate Law Initiative (CCLI), she helped organizations, foundations, social enterprises, and individuals catalyze positive change - from mitigating climate change to creating healthier communities. Melissa has worked in the US, Canada, Colombia, Peru, and Thailand, as well as remotely, on a wide-range of topics including agriculture, deep sea mineral exploration, economic development, and public health.
