If you’re seeking legal advice, we run a number of low-barrier community-based clinics, and partners with student and other community organizations on several legal assistance programs that increase access to justice in BC. These programs cover a wide-range of services at no or low cost, with law students working under the supervision of qualified and experienced lawyers.

Business Law Clinic
The Business Law Clinic provides business oriented advice to small businesses, non-profit organizations and entrepreneurs.

Indigenous Community Legal Clinic (ICLC)
Based in the Downtown Eastside, the ICLC provides advice, assistance and representation to eligible clients who cannot afford a lawyer and who self-identify as Indigenous persons.

Law Students Legal Advice Program (LSLAP)
LSLAP is an independent student-run organization which assists low-income earners in the Metro Vancouver area with various legal issues, including legal representation in specific areas and help with drafting certain types of legal documentation.

UBC Innocence Project
Innocence Projects provide post-conviction review in response to claims of wrongful conviction.

Pro Bono Students of Canada (PBSC)
PBSC assists non-profit organizations with the delivery of legal services and legal information to underserved communities and clients. PBSC does not provide legal services to individuals.

Rise Women’s Legal Centre
Rise Women’s Legal Centre provides unbundled legal services primarily in family law matters to self-identified women across BC. Legal services such as spousal and child support, guardianship, and property division are delivered by trained and supervised law students from the Allard School of Law
