Profile

Melanie McPhail is a doctoral student at the Peter A. Allard School of Law. Her research investigates the regulation of innovative health technologies, including novel regulatory authorization and reimbursement approaches.

In addition to her doctoral research, Melanie is a Research Associate at Simon Fraser University in the Faculty of Health Sciences, working on a Genome BC funded project titled Canadian Network for Learning Healthcare Systems and Cost-Effective ‘Omics Innovation. Melanie also serves as an Alternate Member with Expertise in Law on the Health Canada – Public Health Agency of Canada Research Ethics Board.
