Profile
Lisa is an experienced litigation lawyer who has practiced in Vancouver for more than 25 years. She has acted as counsel on behalf of the Province of B.C., companies both large and small, and many individuals. She has also served as commission counsel on a number of BC public inquiries and as criminal defense counsel for youth in care. Lisa is a graduate of the UBC Faculty of Law and returned to the law school to teach in January 2021, keen to share with law students some of what she learned in practice and to help them bridge the gap between law school and whatever legal work their degree leads them to. She supervises the Judicial Externship program and teaches the associated Reflection seminar as well as Foundations of Dispute Resolution, Legal Ethics & Professionalism, and the Advocacy Course which is the home of the 1L moot.
