Description of Event
This presentation will analyze the impacts of Lecture Capture on individual and collective student learning in the law classroom. This technology, which permits students to access lecture recordings after live classes, has the ability to both significantly assist and harm student learning. As with other forms of technology in the classroom, its effectiveness depends on how it is utilized. The presentation will highlight strategies for making optimal use of this important learning tool, and propose regulations which can help avoid its negative impacts which include lower attendance, decreased individual and collective student engagement and reduced learning outcomes.
Please contact Michelle Burchill if you would like the Zoom link. The link will be emailed no earlier than 10 am on the day of the lecture.
